This bundle contains everything you need play 1. d4 as White and against 1. d4 as Black! The bundle contains two complete repertoires! It combines IM Christof Sielecki’s 1. d4 repertoire with his and FM Daniel Barrish's Nimzo-Ragozin repertoire for Black against 1. d4.
1. d4
Keep it Simple 1. d4 is without a doubt one of Chessable's biggest and best opening repertoires for White. It was designed to last you a lifetime.
IM Christof Sielecki, the man behind the ChessExplained YouTube channel, has put together everything you could ever need to play 1.d4 as white in one course based around a set-up that is simple but deadly, very much akin to a Reversed Grünfeld (so a Grünfeld but a tempo up!).
Keep It Simple: 1.d4 is:
✅ clear;
✅ precise;
✅ easy to learn;
✅ suitable for strong players;
✅ suitable for improving players;
✅ built by someone who really understands Chessable.
But it's just a comprehensive set of lines, it is also a manual on how to play the many positions that can arise after the opening.
Overall, this is as lean a 1.d4 repertoire of this quality as you can get.
Comes with over 40 hours of optional, clear and precise video instruction presented by IM Christof Sielecki
The Nimzo-Ragozin
IM Christof Sielecki and FM Daniel Barrish teamed up and pooled all of their knowledge and insight to give you Lifetime Repertoires: The Nimzo-Ragozin, a complete opening system against 1. d4 by combining the Nimzo-Indian Defense and the Ragozin Defense for Black into a seamless repertoire.
These lines have been carefully chosen to work together perfectly, making the study load bearable and the familiarity with the arising middle game positions optimal.
The Nimzo-Indian is considered the most challenging mainline response to 1.d4 for elite players and arises after 1...Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 Bb4.
The Ragozin Defense, the Nimzo's close friend, is presented alongside it to deal with 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 d5 4.Nc3 Bb4. The increasingly-popular Catalan 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.g3 is also tackled alongside the London, Veresov, Trompowsky, Torre, Colle and all the deviations you need to be fully covered. And, as an added bonus, the authors tackle 1.Nf3 as well, by forcing White to play against their familiar set-up.
This is repertoire to last you a lifetime with Black. It will never go out of fashion because it is always in fashion.
