Chessable is a learning platform where anyone can upload their chess instructional material. In 2018, in just three months we paid out $50,000 in commissions to our partners.
A shared course (free or paid) must be the work of the author and must not contain copyrighted or protected material from another source (e.g. a chess book, article, website, etc.). If you would like to refer to a copyrighted source, make sure you cite that source accurately! Chessable reserves the right to refuse course sharing if it is determined that copyright infringement may be present. If you're in doubt about what can be shared, ask us!
If you are a titled player or known chess author/publisher, we may be able to help you in getting your course released, as long as you have a well-maintained PGN file. Please contact us.
* You must be a PRO member to publish a course on Chessable, if you are not PRO, you can still complete all the steps before #6, but your course will be private. If you are a titled player, you can bypass this requirement.
The revenue split we offer is:
40% for the course owner, 60% for Chessable*.
* Chessable absorbs all payment processing fees, sales taxes and course hosting fees. Course owners share is free of any costs aside from personal income tax.
Please e-mail us at hello@chessable.com, we'd be happy to assist.
