Put An End To White’s
Anti-Nimzo Shenanigans
If you love the Nimzo-Indian — but the Anti-Nimzo is spoiling all the fun — then this free sampler by
Woman FIDE Master Maaike Keetman is for you.
Like you, Keetman is an aggressive Nimzo-Indian player, who’s had enough of White “copping out” with
3.Nf3.
So in this
Short & Sweet course, she shows you how to…
Take Back Control And
The Dynamic Game You’ve Come
To Love In The Nimzo-Indian
…by playing the unbalanced Vienna variation versus the Anti-Nimzo
It’s the backbone of Keetman’s course,
The Fierce Vienna, Catalan, & Sidelines. It’s a repertoire which covers
everything White can play to sidestep the Nimzo-Indian after 1.d4.
Here’s how the Vienna works:
You start with the usual Nimzo-Indian move-order with
1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6. But if White plays the Anti-Nimzo
3.Nf3, then you’ll disrupt the center with
3…d5 and
4…dxc4.

The Vienna versus the Anti-Nimzo
In doing so, you’ll steer the game into fighting positions, which confronts White with tough decisions.
Should they rush to capture your pawn on c4, but allow your pieces to develop with tempo? Or should they advance in the center, while your c-pawn cramps their queenside all game long?
However White plays, rest assured you’ll have the same unbalanced game you’ve come to love in the Nimzo-Indian.
And if the first player tries to keep it simple, they may find themselves under heavy fire in short order.

Only 16 moves in and Black already has the
better position and a brewing attack
Keetman covered the basics of the Vienna versus the Anti-Nimzo in just
10 MoveTrainer® variations and
33 minutes of video. So you can pick up the course, and start playing the opening on the
same day if you like.
But if you want a complete solution to other 1.d4 “cop-outs” — like the Catalan, London System, Jobava London, or Trompowsky — then you should check out the full version
