A
mini-course of 60 exercises to create an awareness of the
king as an attacking piece.
The King is a fighting piece. Use it! - Wilhelm Steinitz
This is the
Fifth Course in the popular series of attacking pieces. The first goal of chess is to checkmate your opponent, and obviously to prevent your opponent from checkmating your king. As such king safety is paramount. However, and especially so in the later part of the middle game and the in the endgame, the king is a vital attacking piece.
All the full games are included in the course and are easily referenced from the learning/review screens.
