How To Outplay The Sicilian
Without Burying Your Head
Under Reams Of Variations
The Grand Prix Attack Reloaded sidesteps the overwhelming amount of theory in the Sicilian main lines… and it combines razor-sharp tactics with bold positional play to swing the game to your favor.Your instructor for this course is
Grandmaster Eugene Perelshteyn.
He’s the winner of the 2000 US Junior Championship, 2006 Foxwoods Open, and the first ever SPICE CUP Invitational.
He's also a
highly respected coach. As captain of the UMBC chess team, he led them to five national titles...and has helped legions of amateur students play their A-game.
But perhaps Perelshteyn’s best qualification is that…
He’s a true champion of the Grand Prix Attack. He’s been playing it since his teenage years. He taught it to his students. And he even built a website, where he shares “hot off the press” analysis from his opening lab.
Today, in his first Chessable course, Perelshteyn draws from his mastery of the Grand Prix Attack and gives you…
A Lean And Mean
Anti-Sicilian Repertoire
The Grand Prix Attack Reloaded simplifies your opening preparation by denying the Sicilian of its usual counterplay… and sets up a variety of tactical and positional ideas to tip the balance to your favor.
Here’s how:
After
1.e4 c5, you’ll hold your d-pawn back with
2.Nc3 to prevent Black from opening lines and gaining a central pawn majority with …cxd4. Then, you’ll gain space on the kingside after
2…Nc6 3.f4 g6 4.Nf3 — so that you can launch your attack as soon as Black castles.
Now here’s some bad news:
After the natural
4…Bg7, the overwhelming majority of books recommend either
5.Bc4 or
5.Bb5. Both of which have been de-fanged.
Most of the lines demand that the first player give up the bishop pair. Only to desperately try to make up for it later in the game. You
don’t want that as White.
But the good news:
Perelshteyn is always on the cutting-edge of Grand Prix Attack theory. So he revitalized it with a classy waiting move. One which rules out Black’s equalizers and brings in new strategies to step up the pressure against 1..c5.
Inside
The Grand Prix Attack Reloaded, you’ll discover:
🏁 The Death Star Attack… where your knight, bishop and queen set up a V-formation, and focus their planet-busting power on the h7-pawn.
🏁 How to slay the Dragon bishop… and dominate the dark squares after Black pushes their pawns to e6 and g6.
🏁 The “bust” to Anish Giri’s 2…d6. You’ll get a one-sided opposite castling position, where Black can only watch as you blow open their king’s pawn cover.
🏁 How to ruin an early …d7-d5 with pins. Tie Black’s pieces in a knot. Shatter their pawn structure. And press for the advantage all game long.
🏁 Smart transpositions to other Anti-Sicilians… and “shortcuts” to a clear opening edge against rare sidelines and unusual setups.
And many more.
If you've never had a good system against the Sicilian or are just looking for a new, simple 'surprise weapon', we have a feeling you’ll love the Sicilian-slaying recommendations in this course. See you inside!
