Bringing chess books to life… and now in print

It is just over a year that we have been “bringing books to life”. We take classic print books and turn them into fully interactive MoveTrainer™ courses.

It’s been a challenging yet amazing journey. To mark a new milestone we are doing something awesome, including a giveaway of $1,000 in chess prizes, so please do read on.

The first book brought to life was, of course, 100 Endgames You Must Know, by New in Chess. Today it almost has 2,000 students!

All of these students can work together, ask questions, e-mail us to improve the online course, and more. This pushes us to continue to bring you more of the best.

A huge thanks go out to everyone who makes this possible: our staff, volunteers and importantly, you, the customers who have shown with your choice that you want this. Thank you.

Online or print? There’s a place for both

Just last month we added two awesome books to our course list, Dvoretsky’s Endgame Manual and The Woodpecker Method. We firmly believe that the future of learning is both in print and digital courses, giving you the best of both worlds. Online, you get the learning science and community. With print, you get the natural ease of use and share-ability. We’ve always maintained there is a place for both.

This is why we are so excited that an original Chessable MoveTrainer™ course, is today a traditional print book! Take a look at the first arrivals here:

Published by our first partners, New in Chess, this Chessable “classic” is now a 650 gram, 375-page paperback.

We simply think that’s awesome, that’s why we are launching a giveaway with $1,000 in prizes, including signed copies of this amazing new paperback.

Please Help Us Spread The Word

What’s more, we are also launching a new initiative to spread the word, I ordered 5,000 leaflets like so:

My other half thinks I’m crazy and that there are not enough chess players who’d want these. I think she’s wrong; I think there are plenty of chess players who’d enjoy joining us on these courses! Probably not your typical conjugal argument, huh? (She’s wrong…!)

If you believe in our mission (and want to give me a hand here!), please send me an e-mail and help us out david[at]chessable.com.

All you have to do is get in touch with me, I will post you some, and you can drop them off at your next chess congress/tournament, that would help us a ton.

Thank you 🙂

P.S. One more thing: to celebrate this milestone, Christof has also reduced the cost of his very popular video-sync upgrade by 50%, click here to find out more.

PPS. Need to pick up a print copy? Try the New in Chess store, click here to find out more.
