Chessable's mission is to make chess learning as fun and efficient as possible. So, Grandmaster Pepe Cuenca had to be a Chessable author!
The chess world knows no more fabulous edutainer than Pepe. The epicness of his live commentary has awakened the chess fan within countless people, making him one of the biggest chess rock-stars of the moment.
His emotion during commentary can be compared to football and challenges those who think chess is boring. His fame already surpasses his native language, with his trademark 'ratatata' earning appreciation worldwide.
Pepe's enthusiasm and love for the game brought him from being an IM pursuing a Ph.D. in Applied mathematics and civil engineering to become a GM in 2015 and the face of chess24.es, travelling the world promoting chess.
From chess24, he became one of the world's top chess announcers and filmed thousands of hours of educational chess content aimed at all sorts of levels.
Pepe was one of the early authors of Chessable's Spanish platform, adapting the classic 'The art of attack'. In June 2021, he authored the first bilingual course with his Lifetime repertoires: The Philidor. Later on that year, he was the face of the Create Your Own Course Challenge Spanish version.
