Aleskandr Rakhmanov is a Russian grandmaster and chess coach.
Rakhmanov has enjoyed a truly meteoric rise through the ranks as a player, with an impressive string of successes throughout his teenage years. Achieving the International Master title at age 15 and the grandmaster title just a year later, he went on to win bronze medals in the Russian, European, and World Youth Champions in 2007.
He has continued to grow his classical rating to nearly 2700 FIDE, earning him invitations to some of the most prestigious chess events in the world. In recent years, he has won a gold medal in the European Club Cup, and has taken part in such exclusive events as the FIDE Grand Swiss and FIDE World Cup.
Rakhmanov has recently focused his efforts on coaching, mentoring talents across the rating spectrum. He has also begun to disseminate his knowledge through text, authoring his first chess book in 2021.
