Everyman Chess is one of the world's leading chess publishers, a position that it has enjoyed for a few decades already.
The company brought the chess world timeless classic series like My Great Predecessors by the 13th World Champion Garry Kasparov, 'Starting Out', 'Move by Move' and 'Dangerous Weapons', alongside many others.
Recurrent authors include Grandmasters John Emms, Neil McDonald, Jacob Aagaard, and International Masters Richard Palliser and Jeremy Silman. Furthermore, Everyman can boast royal names such as GMs Vladimir Kramnik, Alexei Shirov, Yasser Seirawan, and IM John Watson.
Everyman was also a pioneer in electronic chess publishing, digitizing their content with apps developed by the company itself and selling chess CDs.
Everyman Chess was one of the first major publishers to adapt its content to Chessable, with The Art of Attack in Chess, the Winning Chess series, and the Johan Hellsten Strategy series becoming instant Chessable hits. Equally, it's one of the first publishers to convert Chessable content into books, publishing The Iron English as a book in 2020, a Chessable original repertoire by GM Simon Williams and IM Richard Pallisers.
In March 2021, Everyman Chess became part of the Play Magnus Group. The acquisition aims to increase the presence of Everyman Chess content throughout the PMG platforms.
