You’d be hard-pressed to find a more dedicated coach and teacher than Bryan Tillis. As the main coach in Florida’s Palm Beach Chess club, the USCF National Master has taught droves of ambitious students in both the sunshine state and the world over - and turned them into champions.
You can trust he knows what he’s talking about - not only is he accredited by FIDE as a chess coach, his playing finesse has won him numerous regional championships in the United States, mostly recently the 2018 Florida State Blitz Championship. He has also coached multiple scholastic groups to victory in their own tournaments, and it’s no wonder why: his intensely practical and fun approach to chess education and playing can be appreciated by amateurs and pros alike.
NM Tillis has penned some of the most thorough opening courses on Chessable, such as Master the French Defense, The Aggressive Queen’s Gambit Declined, and Alekhine Defense: The Dark Knight Rises. But as far as he’s concerned, these are living documents: Bryan gets rave reviews for constantly updating his work, answering questions, and improving his lessons in an ongoing mission to serve his students.
